Computer Equipment Replacement Life-cycle Plan

IT Services has created a schedule for equipment replacement, based upon the relative age and usage level of the various spaces.  The schedule begins with the current 2010 UTF cycle and replaces 25% of equipment each year for 4 years.  At the end of the 4 years, the equipment that is replaced this year, is again replaced, creating a 4 year life-cycling plan for all instructional machines that students use in classrooms, labs, the Library, and learning centers.

In order for the Student Fee Board to prioritize life-cycle over all other UTF requests:
1) Annual plan must be reviewed and approved by fee board every year
2) Student position will be granted to fee board member
3) Energy efficiency requirements will be upheld

To reiterate we are making a commitment to prioritize funding for the life cycle plan but not to sign to any fixed amount.
