What is the Student Universal Technology Fee?

The Universal Technology Fee is a $3 per credit fee (a maximum of $30/semester) for technology related hardware, software, and service programs which promote higher quality learning and a better college experience at North.

What are UTF funds used for?

In past surveys, students have said their priorities were to update open-computer-labs with faster higher performing computers in addition to adding and upgrading printers and scanners. The UTF committee has met these needs and more! Over the past few years, awards have enhanced technology throughout the entire campus, from instructional divisions to registration and student services. Examples of funding from 2009 include:

Who allocates UTF funds?

The processes for allocating UTF dollars are overseen by the Student Fee Board and the Director of Information Technologies, Lori Casile.

Requests exceeding $10,000 will be required to make a presentation

The online request process allows you to return to edit your proposal any time prior to the deadline.  You may also review other proposals that have been submitted.
