Services & Activities Fee

What is the Services & Activities Fee?

The Services and Activities fee is a $8 per credit fee which students pay to fund programs and services.

What are the Services & Activities Fees Used For?

Services and Activity fees may be used to fund programs and services that enhance students’ educational experience and success. Services and Activities Fees Funded Programs.Student Fee Board members report on these programs annually, Funded Programs Reports.

S&A Fee programs follow the mission of Student Leadership and Multicultural Programs by providing co-curricular services that enhance and compliment the student’s instructional experience.

Each year the Student Fee Board is formed to evaluate existing and proposed programs in order to develop budget recommendations that then go to the Vice President of Student Development Services who then submits them to the college President and on to the Board of Trustees for final approval. They are joined by representatives of administration, staff and faculty who act as advisors when reviewing requests.

It is the legislature’s intent that students have a strong and determining voice in how these fees are spent; therefore students have a majority vote in all decisions.  The budget development processes we follow at North are outlined in the Student Government constitution and are consistent with the provisions outlined in RCW 28B.15.045.
