General Fund
The general fund is a reserve fund, 3% of the Student & Activities fees, available for use year-round. There is no usage requirements, however, it is primarily used for clubs, unexpected expenses, and one time proposals.
Clubs at North Seattle are budgeted up to $500 per year, per club. The majority of clubs do not use all their funds, and many do not use any.
The unexpected expenses generally take the form of broken equipment such as microwaves or instructional equipment.
Occasionally, it is used for individuals who represent NSCC in academic competitions or awards. It has also been used to fund competitions on campus, such as Trash Wars.
