“Generation of Change: We are the Future!”
April 22-24, 2009 ~ Yakima, Washington

About the Students of Color Conference
This conference is sponsored by the Multicultural directors from each of the 34 Washington state community colleges and is open to ALL students. Participants have the opportunity to hear nationally renowned keynote speakers and attend workshops and lectures led by highly regarded diversity trainers and educators around the state. Topics include identity development, leadership theory and practice, social justice, civil rights and advocacy. Evening activities include an open mic talent show, dance, games and free time to network and make new friends. Together, both students of color and white students leave united by a deeper understanding of how they can work together to create a more equitable and just society.
For those students selected to represent North, all expenses will be paid including conference registration, hotel accommodations, transportation and meals. Space is limited! Student interested in attending may submit an application along with the other materials outlined therein. Please download and read all the following documents for details.
